A Sunday well spent means going to a local Austin event with your boyfriend (or best gal friend), sipping on mimosas while you shop from your favorite women entrepreneurs (aka boss babes), and taking funky photo booth pictures inside of a trailer that completely embodies the Keep-Austin-Weird-sentiment. That's exactly what I did this past Sunday.
I attended the craftHER Market event ("a space for self-identified women to sell, showcase and share their wares, makes and goods"), which is hosted by Boss Babes ATX. This was my second time attending and I fell in love all over again. If you're crazy for local business (like I am), support women in business, or enjoy drinking alcohol while shopping around then this event is totally for you. The real reason I attend is because it makes me really happy to know that I am giving back to the community and investing in my city's talent by shopping from these bad ass female entrepreneurs- plus, it fills me with life to see other women killing it at something they love. It makes me want to do the same.
Even though there were so many unique and talented merchants, you always kinda have your personal favorites. Lighting was horrible so for this post I did not use original pictures but have given appropriate credits (you can also click on the pictures to be redirected to the source).
